Enigmatic for sure, Scott, and almost surreal. Can't say quite why - though maybe your description helps me know a bit - but this one really stopped me. Many interpretations of this simple scene are possible, I think. This was one of my two pod's in the Best of Minimalism group for September 1.

This photograph was shot on the top floor of a parking garage near my home in Milwaukee. I was initially struck by how one of the directional arrows seemed to point to a solid concrete wall with nothing but an empty void beyond. The other lead down and away from the ledge. Perhaps it is an apt visual representation of the current state of affairs in the world these days.
